Steam Shovel

Hard-hitting R&B Band in the tradition of ZZ Top. This band was created from the skeleton of the band formerly known as the Model Men, a relentless rock band w/Mark Nagode as lead singer. When Mark left the band, Bill replaced him. While trying to follow in Mark's "First Tenor" footsteps Bill eventually defaulted to a Roots Rock/R&B feel reminiscent of the Allman Brothers. R&B being the hypnotic beast that it is, the band followed and then congealed around the new sound, fearlessly stealing themes from the "Perry Mason" T.V. series and blasphemeing CSN's Guinivere with a jazz-rock treatment. Featuring Bill Brickey on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Brad Foutch on lead/rhythm guitar, keyboards and vocals; Ed Meltzer on lead and rhythm guitar, Sergio "Socko" Castro on guitar, bass and vocals, Gary Yek on percussion. All band members participated in penning of lyrics and song composition.
